ADM football kicked off its three-day, 7th-12th grade football camp on Tuesday, as droves of players from a multitude of players descended upon the Tigers two practice fields adjacent Tiger Stadium.
The camp is more of an introductory, informal start to the preseason with fully padded practices scheduled to start on Monday. For now, players can focus on getting reacclimated with the game and the rigors of consistent practice.
The ADM athletic department as a whole continues to promote extra weight-lifting and training sessions, and in many cases, shifts its programs to align with particular sports.
On Tuesday morning, for example, ADM’s strength coach held a footwork session open to all athletes that was designed to help wide receivers and defensive backs.
@StrengthADM, the strength coach’s official twitter account , also continues to promote voluntary lifting sessions, tweeting on Monday, “Lifting sessions are STILL being held. ‘Your actions need to reflect values and priorities. You have to value excellence more than others.'”
The football camp itself runs through Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m. the next two days.
