ADM senior Jacob Hardy was one of several breakout stars for the Tiger football team in 2014, seizing his first-year starting opportunity and turning it into a season in which he lead the ADM in tackles, tackles for loss and sacks.
Hardy will again be counted on to disrupt the opposition’s offense via stopping the run and chasing down the quarterback for a defense that will be relatively inexperienced. ADM lost a multitude of graduated seniors that started on both sides of the ball last season, and in particular on defense.
His importance to ADM’s defense this upcoming season is obvious, but sixth-year defensive coordinator Bric Nelson noted that this season is equally as important for Hardy, as it will go a long way in determining the senior’s football future.
“I think with a kid like Jacob, you have a kid that this season, he’s setting his destiny for what lies ahead after high school coming in leading into college,” Nelson said. “He’s going to make a name for himself this year. There’s a lot of guys that look up to him. He’s very intense, good athlete, and it all comes with hard work that he puts in during the season and in the offseason.”
The Tigers open the season August 28 at Perry.
