A Jefferson man is facing a felony charge for domestic abuse after an incident earlier this week.

Police Chief Dave Morlan says on August 4th, an officer was requested at the Greene County Medical Center for a possible domestic abuse incident that happened on August 3rd.

The female victim told the officer that her boyfriend, 31 year-old Eric Christopher Rosenow, broke into her residence in the 300 block of West Reed Street around 3:30pm.  He then allegedly entered her bedroom and started choking her.  During the struggle, the victim noted that Rosenow kept wanting to know what she had done, but she claimed she didn’t know what he was talking about.

The police report shows the victim had a cut around her left eye, bruising on her arms, neck and the back of her head.  Rosenow was arrested on Thursday at the victim’s home on a warrant for probation revocation in Greene County.

Rosenow is charged with a Class D Felony for domestic abuse assault-impeding air/blood flow causing injury.  He was previously convicted of domestic abuse assault, causing bodily harm from a December 2014 incident.
