Two of three suspects from Jefferson pled not guilty to charges from a June incident involving drugs and weapons.
According to court documents, 35 year-old Christopher Herbert Lawrence and 42 year-old Kimberly Marie Smith pled not guilty to misdemeanors for carrying weapons and possession of meth. Charges stem from an incident on June 8th when a police officer, during a traffic stop, discovered weapons and drugs in the vehicle. Lawrence also pled not guilty to a carrying weapons charge from the Greene County Sheriff’s office from an unrelated incident.
Chris’s mother, 56 year-old Lorrie Leiann Lawrence, was charged with interference with official acts when she allegedly disrupted the officer’s investigation. Court documents show that her charge was dismissed.
Pre-trial date for Chris Lawrence is scheduled for August 28th and Smith’s pre-trial date is on September 11th.
