A Stuart man was one of 20 individuals arrested in a prostitution sting in Des Moines Wednesday, which happened at two hotels and on the street. According to Des Moines Police Sargent Paul Parizek, 52 year old Vernon Walker was arrested by the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Task Force and charged with prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the multi-day prostitution sting happened when local business owners and citizens reported suspicious activities at local motels.
