A deputy was assisted by a Jefferson Police Officer in locating a reported stolen vehicle that was taken from a rural residence in the 2000 block of M Avenue and later located in 300 block of Reed Street in Jefferson. After an investigation by the deputy, Patrick Michael Kennedy 30, of Jefferson, was arrested for Operation of a Motor Vehicle without the Owners Consent – an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Main Street in Scranton to assist a parent with a reported out of control juvenile. The deputy persuaded the youth that taking his medication and going back to school would be in his best interest.

A deputy was advised by a Scranton resident of a noise concern and the operation of 4-wheel ATV’s being ridden on the roadway.

A deputy investigated the report of disruptive loud music playing in the 600 block of Harding Street in Churdan.

A deputy and the Grand junction Fire and Rescue responded to a farm implement –car accident on the Union Pacific Railroad overpass on Highway 30, east of Grand Junction. A pickup being driven by Cory James Schwering 20, of Ogden, and pulling a farm implement was eastbound on the overpass when a westbound 2014 Nissan Murano being driven by Richard Lee Bratcher 61, of Grand Junction struck the implement that was over the centerline of the highway. Only minor damage was reported to the Bratcher vehicle and no damage to the disk ripper. Cory Schwering was issued a citation for Failure to Yield Half the Roadway.

A deputy spoke with a Rippey resident in the 300 block of 1st Street about a personal property civil issue.

A deputy and a Jefferson Police Officer located a vehicle in Jefferson that was reported to be driving in a reckless and careless manner in the 1500 block of 222nd Street.

A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a truck and trailer that had no tail lights traveling on Highway 30 near Orchard Avenue.

A deputy was asked to check a controlled burn in 800 block of Grant Street in Scranton. The homeowner was advised that he could not burn refuse that was taken out of the home.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
