Perry senior Haileigh Kenyon led the Jayettes to a triangular victory Tuesday night in their season opener at Des Moines Hoover.  Kenyon was part of 4 first place performances on the night winning the 100 and 200 freestyle along with the Medley and 200 freestyle relay.  The senior captain says team chemistry is great right now.

“Last year we only had four girls and this year all four are returning so we knew this could be a strong year.  We added 3 new ones this year and the chemistry has been great.  We all get along so well and enjoy hanging out with one another.  We know each other’s strengths and weaknesses and are really good friends both in and out of the pool.  I think that makes a huge difference.”

Kenyon and her ‘friends’ will look to keep the momentum rolling tonight when they travel to Lincoln for a triangular with Lincoln and Algona.  Action starts at 5:30.
