After an investigation, a deputy will be charging a female in the 500 block of Bell Street in Churdan with Harassment.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff and a Jefferson Police Officer provided courthouse security after a male became belligerent during court proceedings.
A deputy spoke with a resident in the 900 block of Bell Street in Churdan about a possible computer scam.
Three members of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated several harassment and criminal mischief concerns in the Churdan area.
A deputy was dispatched to investigate a minor backing accident in the Casey’s General Store parking lot in Scranton.
A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of South 19th Street in Grand Junction to investigate a reported burglary and theft of personal property and prescription medications.
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a call in the 300 block of North Wilson Street.
A deputy was unable to locate a reported suspicious vehicle that was reported to be eastbound on 210th Street near R Avenue.
Saturday, August 29th
A deputy was out of position and unable to locate a driver leaving Scranton that did not possess a valid driver’s license. The identity of the driver was determined and the deputy will be speaking with him.
A deputy was advised by a Carroll County resident that her vehicle license plates were taken from her car while she was at an auction in the 800 block of Q Avenue in Greene County.
Greene County dispatchers were advised of a semi-tractor trailer that had become stuck on a level B maintenance road on 335th Street and A Avenue. The owners advised that the truck would be removed at a later time.
A deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of 210th Street for the report of a shotgun being discharged. The resident was advised of the safety issue with the neighbors.
A deputy assisted the Greene County Emergency Medical Services with a call in the 100 block of 290th Street.
A deputy was unable to contact a resident in the 900 block of East Main Street in Scranton to investigate a reported theft of property.
A deputy spoke with a resident in the 900 block of Stanton Street in Scranton about the open burning of garbage and the odor that it created.
A deputy, Grand Junction Rescue and Greene County EMS were dispatched to the 400 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction for an unknown male subject that that was lying in a yard and needing medical attention. The identity of the male was determined and he was transported to the Greene County Medical Center for further evaluation.
Sunday, August 30th
A deputy was dispatched to investigate a reported hit and run accident that occurred in the 400 block of Rebecca Street in Grand Junction. A 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE that was being driven by Christopher Cole Bishop 29, of Grand Junction was parked at his residence when an unknown vehicle struck his car. The Bishop vehicle sustained major damage and the other vehicle is being sought.
A resident in the 200 block of South 19th street in Grand Junction returned home to find an intruder in his home and a burglary in progress. The intruder fled through a window as the homeowner arrived home. The deputy was just a few blocks away investigating the previous call and began looking for the described male subject. The identity of the male is believed to be known at this time.
A deputy was dispatched to motorcycle-deer accident on D Avenue (N65) near 195th Street. Minor damage was sustained to the motorcycle and the owner did not need a report filed. A DNR salvage tag was issued to the motorcycle driver for consumption of the deer.
A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction to investigate a reported burglary and theft money. The theft is under investigation by the Sheriff’s office at this time.
A Greene County resident asked a deputy to check several credit card transactions that were debited to his credit card account. The transactions were found to be legitimate.
A Jefferson Police Officer assisted the Sheriff’s office with locating a reported erratic and careless driver on Highway 30 near Jefferson. The officer spoke with the driver about his driving actions.
A deputy was dispatched to the 1200 block of X Avenue to investigate the report of a suspicious vehicle. The deputy spoke with the driver of the vehicle and determined that her vehicle was experiencing mechanical problems.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
