The Guthrie Center boys cross country team was led by senior Sam Courtney at their season opening meet Thursday. Courtney ran the race in a time of 19 minutes, 13 seconds, good enough for 12th place overall. Freshman Noah Nelson broke the 20 minute mark by 4 seconds in his first high school race for the Tigers. Guthrie Center finished 6th place overall, out of 10th teams. The Tigers race again at Ogden on Thursday.
