The Panorama Panthers girls cross country team were the winners of Thursday’s season opening meet at Guthrie Center. The Panthers had the low score of 35, next lowest was Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton with 72. Panthers head coach Greg Thompson is not too terribly surprised by his team’s impressive performance. “They’re strong, they’re state qualifier worthy.”

Panorama’s top two runners, Devyn Kemble and Brianna Hoffman, finished within a second of each other in placing in 3rd and 4th place overall. The Panthers race again at Madrid on Thursday.
