As the antiquing scene continues to grow in Greenfield, one shop owner says pop culture has had a lot to do with the increasing popularity. Patsy Ahnen, owner of First Street Antiques, says mainstream popularity of shows like Antiques Roadshow, American Pickers and Pawn Stars has been a boon to her business. “Anybody that gets hooked on those kinds of shows, they’re tempted to go into stores that they would never, ever go into. Because, they didn’t realize the amount of history and what you can see and learn.”
