Tonight we will air our Meet the Candidates: Perry School Board Election special magazine program.

Today we introduce you to the remaining two candidates who are vying for a spot on the board.

Susan Brelsford is the mother of three Perry High School graduates.  She’s a local business owner, farm wife and sales representative for the Gillette Company.  Brelsford explains why she wants to serve on the school board.

“Ever since our boys started school I’ve been involved in Perry schools and being a part of what my sons were involved in is where I wanted to be… This school is so important to me, the teachers, principals, administration, coaches, their dedication to all the students is amazing.  I want to support all their efforts and their hard work.”

The sixth candidate is current school board member Kenia Alarcon who will soon be finishing up her first four-year term as a director. She did not return our request for an interview.
