Today is the deadline day for vendors to register for the Red Barn Home and Craft Show in Jefferson.

Committee member Cheri Delay says the event will be at the Greene County Fairgrounds from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.  A variety of crafters and direct sale vendors will be in three buildings, which includes the commercial and quonset buildings and Clover Hall.

Committee member Barb Walker explains why she likes the annual event.

“I like being involved in Red Barn (Home and Craft Show) because I really like the connections I have with the different crafters.  It’s almost like a reunion to be able to see them on a yearly basis.  I, myself am a crafter and I like to see what’s out there.”

Changes to this year’s event includes free admission and extending it to two-days.  Plus, the Greene County Fair Association will be providing food and attendees can listen to the pre-game show for the Iowa vs Iowa State football game.
