Kane Seeley was an Elite All-State football player and two-time state champion wrestler for Perry High School, where he graduated in 2012. Now a linebacker for Iowa State, Seeley is an active contributor for the Cyclones, notching 4 tackles in Iowa State’s seasoning opening 31-7 victory over UNI on Saturday. The 4th year junior was credited with 3 solo tackles as well as an assisted tackle.
Seeley is a communication studies major and has been recognized twice as an academic All-Big 12 recipient. He has 58 career tackles including 45 over the final 5 games last season, as well as 5 career starts. Seeley is listed as the backup middle linebacker for this week’s game against Iowa, but should see plenty of action in the annual CyHawk game. The game kicks off at 3:45 CT and will be televised on FOX.
