A Guthrie Center institution is celebrating fifty years of service to the community tomorrow. Executive Director Ethan Walton says The New Homestead will have an open house celebration from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The 50th anniversary celebration will feature a 1950’s theme with music playing and hot dogs, hamburgers, root beer floats and funnel cakes will be served. The open house will also give visitors an opportunity to check out the construction and many changes made to the facility over the years. The event is free and open to the public.
