A decision has been made on whether Grand View Christian High School will join the West Central Activities Conference, which includes Guthrie Center, Panorama and West Central Valley high schools. West Central Valley Activities Director Tod Broman says the decision came down to a meeting cancellation. “We were scheduled for a meeting on September 28th. Grand View Christian has decided to pull out. They are not going to pursue it any further. The case for them joining our conference is now null and void.”

Broman and other conference administrators were opposed to Grand View Christian joining them, because of their lengthy distance away on the northeast side of Des Moines and because their enrollment is substantially smaller than the other high schools in the conference.
