The Greene County School Board will meet twice tonight.
At 5:15pm will be a work session with staff from the talented and gifted programs. Since it is a work session, the Board will not take action on any items.
The regular meeting will start at 6:30pm and it’s the organizational meeting for the year. Agenda items include the oath of office for elected board members Ashley Johnston and John McConnell, along with the oath of office for Board president and vice-president. There will also be committee assignments for board members, appointing the Iowa Association of School Boards delegate and establishing board meeting times, dates and place for the 2015-16 school year.
Other items that will be considered for approval include the 2014-15 certified annual report, an allowable growth request for special education deficit, middle school fall officials list, fundraiser requests, the 2016 Iowa Drug and Alcohol Testing Program participation, an Affirmative Action statement, a transportation agreement with Region XII Council of Governments, a high school vocal music accompanist and a parking lease agreement for the Rippey baseball field.
Both meetings take place in the conference room inside of the administrative building in Jefferson.
