A deputy was advised of a harassment concern between several youth in Churdan.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff and Scranton Fire units were dispatched to a two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highways 30 and 25, North of Scranton. A 2015 Cadillac being driven by Louis Hastings Walsh 73 of Carroll, was northbound on Highway 25 and had stopped at the intersection with his vehicle out in the traveled portion of Highway 30. The Walsh vehicle was then struck by an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Explorer being driven by Robert Lavern Twit 70, of Ames. The eastbound Twit vehicle struck the Walsh vehicle in the rear tire and trunk area causing $10,000 to the Walsh Cadillac and $5,000 in damages to the Twit Explorer. Greene County EMS was also on scene, but all persons involved refused further medical attention. Louis Walsh was issued a citation for Unsafe Stopping.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilt.
