If you still want to take part in this weekend’s Going Native: Iowa Prairies seminar, you’re in luck. Registration has been extended until Friday and the admission price has decreased.
The day-long program starts at 9am and features sessions on landscape architecture, monarchs, farm conservation and establishing prairies.
Caitlyn Ryan with the Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office says everyone can get something useful out of the seminar.
“There could be just a purely educational standpoint where if it’s something that you’re interested in, this is definitely the place to be. It can start you with the basics and there’s just a lot of different resources available to expand your knowledge. Or if you are wanting it for practical application, this is something you’re interested in but didn’t know where to start, this would be your opportunity.”
It takes place at the Carnegie Library Museum in Perry and the cost to attend is now $10 which includes lunch.
To sign up, call Ryan at 993-4281.
