We might be nine months away from the 37th annual Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson, but everyone is invited to the first planning session for next year’s celebration.
Greene County Chamber Tourism and Events Coordinator Angie Pedersen says the planning meeting will be at RVP~1875 on Monday at 5pm.
“This is a kickoff, a dreaming point is where I’m at now. We’ve got quite a bit of time between now and (the) Bell Tower (Festival), but we’ve got to come up with a theme, we’ve got to come up with reasons to make this year’s (2016) Bell Tower (Festival) even better than last (year’s) and last year’s was pretty dang good.”
One major item that is already completed is booking the beverage garden entertainment for Saturday night of the festival, which is the return of PopROCKS.
“Last year was huge, but there were a lot of people that didn’t get to see it. These guys have got a gagillon songs. We won’t keep doing PopROCKS, but I think, I don’t know, I would like to see them one more time before we put PopROCKS away.”
