Greene County Medical Center was recently made in the Des Moines Register’s list of the “Top 150 Iowa Workplaces.”

The county hospital employs 213 people and recently completed its largest expansion this past August.  The distinction is based on an employee survey conducted in the spring by WorkplaceDynamics.  Employees rated the medical center on workplace practices and job satisfaction.  Chief Executive Officer Carl Behne says it’s an honor to be selected and to be chosen means that the medical center is a good place not only for patients but for employees to work as well.

The Top 150 Iowa Workplaces list is divided into three categories from small to mid-sized and large-sized employees.  The medical center ranked 33rd out of 50 in the midsize category.

Another area business selected include Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District.
