Many people are expected to show up Sunday to support Panorama Principal Mark Johnston and his family in the fight of their life. Johnston was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2014 and has to travel to Chicago to receive treatment. Organizer Dave Grove says close to 1,000 people are expected to show up for Sunday’s event at Panorama High School. “It’s a big slice of the Panora community and it’s a bigger community than that. We might even be short at our estimate of 800-1,000. It might even be more than that. There’s no way to know.”
The benefit takes place Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Panorama High School. Grove will tell us more about it today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
