Rain continued to fall across the Raccoon River Valley this week but at a much more tolerable rate compared to earlier this month.
According to the National Weather Service, this week Guthrie Center added 0.82 inch of precipitation to their monthly total of 1.22 inches. Perry received another 0.38 inch for a total of 4.35 inches since September 1st and Jefferson saw another 0.11 inch for a total of 2.6 inches so far this month.
Normal monthly rainfall totals range between 2.9 and 3.3 inches locally.
