A new fall promotion from Jefferson Matters: Main Street encourages social media interaction.

Program Director Peg Raney says the “Fall Into Jefferson and ‘Leaf’ Happy” is a contest where people can take selfies at participating businesses that have large fall leaves on display.

“Maybe it’s a new product you didn’t even realize was in there (or) something that you have purchased, maybe you’re eating something really yummy and you want to take a selfie with that.  We just think this is a great way to promote all of our great businesses (and) some of the fun things that they’re doing in the businesses.”

Once you take a selfie, post it on their Instagram account at #jeffersonmatters or on their Facebook page with the location of where the picture was taken.  The photo that gets the most likes and shares will win $100 cash.  The contest will be from September 21st through October 21st.
