The Northern Dallas County Relay for Life event takes place this weekend in Perry.
It’s an afternoon and evening full of activities and ceremonies with one central goal, continuing the fight against cancer.
The event starts at 2pm with the APW wrestlers, followed by the opening ceremony at 4pm. There will be a variety of themed laps around the Perry High School track throughout the event, along with entertainment options including dance performances, Zumba and football.
New this year is the Kick Cancer Collection Connection. Attendees are encouraged to collect their lose change and bring it to the relay as they lay the coins out on the track, with hopes to make several laps around before connecting the circle and donating the money to the American Cancer Society.
Everyone is welcome to stop by and take part in the annual event.
The Raccoon Valley Radio “Big Red Radio” will be there broadcasting live and playing music throughout the event.
