Seven Greene County youth won their respective age divisions and will advance in the National Football League Pass, Punt and Kick contest.
Jefferson Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Sean Ostendorf says they had 31, 6-15 year-olds participate at Kelso Park on Monday. Bryce Stephenson won the six-to-seven year-old boys division with 124 total feet, while Kiera Cummings won for the girls with 33-feet and six-inches. Kaden Dorman won the eight-to-nine year-old boys division with 122-feet and six-inches. Landon Carstens won the 10 to 11 year-old boys division with 137-feet and six-inches and for the girls, it was Madeline Johns with 57-feet and six-inches. Zachary Burbank won the 12 to 13 year-old boys division with 164 total feet and Desiree Johns won the girls 12 to 13 year-old division with 86 total feet.
Winners were determined by the total distance that a football was thrown through the air, punting it and place-kicking it. Qualifying youth will move onto a sectional competition next month.
