Dallas County Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help them with a Rock the Block neighborhood revitalization project this weekend.
City Administrator Sven Peterson says this is the first Habitat project in Perry in quite a while and he encourages people to come take part.
“They’ll be working on three different houses. Doing some minor home repair, stuff like siding, painting, soffits, steps, stuff like that. I think it’ll be a great showcase for us, being able to show off all that we can do in Perry and help out some of our neighbors at the same time.”
Volunteer registration and kick off will be at 512 5th Street at 8am Saturday and lunch will be served at the same location at 11:30am.
