A busy week of Greene County High School sports continues with the Rams (2-2) hosting Class 3A third ranked and 4-0 Webster City tonight in Jefferson at Linduska Field. Coverage on KG98 begins at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The game can also be streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com

The Rams were in Thursday’s Roland-Story Norsemen Invitational cross-country meet in Story City. The girls were twelfth among 14 teams and the boys were last among 14.

Leading the Greene County girls was junior Olivia Hansen, who completed the five kilometers (3.1 miles) in 21:36,40. Sophomore Emily Finch was thirteenth in 21:51.71, followed by freshman Melanie Doran, 89th in 25:55.27, senior Sunny Mobley, 111th, in 26:45.50, and sophomore Regan Lamoureux, 114th, in 26:59.32.

On the boys’ side, the Rams were led by sophomore Kane Borgeson, who was 49th in 19:07.34 for five K. Sophomore Nick Killion was 119th in 21:38.07, followed by Ben Wilkens, also a sophomore, in 22:08.06, good for 135th. Sophomore Nathan ikennedy was 175th in 25:03.34, and sophomore Jacob Hueser was 189th in 29:24.24.

South Hamilton (Jewell) won the boys’ team race with Dallas Center-Grimes taking the girls’ title.
