A deputy was asked to assist in locating a missing dog from the Coon Rapids area that was picked up in Greene County.

A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of W Avenue for a residential alarm activation. The building was found to be secure.

A deputy spoke with a Grand Junction resident about an upcoming court hearing issue.

A deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of South 12th Street in Grand Junction to help with an out of control juvenile male. The juvenile male was later transported by the deputy to the Greene County Medical Center Emergency Room for an evaluation and placement into another facility.

A deputy was advised of a car-deer accident on Highway 30 east of Scranton. An Iowa State Patrol Officer advised that he would cover the accident and the deputy could disregard.

A deputy spoke with a rural resident in the 1100 block of H Avenue regarding a personal property civil issue.

Saturday, September 26th

The Chief Deputy Sheriff executed a traffic stop on a vehicle on 235th Street near S Avenue and subsequently arrested Anthony David Rothmeyer 46, of Grand junction, on an outstanding warrant from Dallas County.

Four members of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Boone County Sheriff’s deputies converged on a reported Underage Age Drinking party at 2472 180th Street.  After an investigation and field sobriety testing, Alexander Rae Swanberg 19, of Fort Dodge, Claire Elaine Gordon 19, of Boone, Kara Lynn Stevens 20, of Boone, Kevin Armondo Montoya 18, of Grand Junction, Brenden Robert Patterson 18, of Boone, Wyatt William Hanna 19, of Farnhamville, and Landon Mac Smith 18, of Fort Dodge were all taken into custody and booked in to the Greene county Jail for Minors in Possession of Alcohol. One juvenile female was also taken into custody for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also arrested and taken into custody was Rowdy Lee Renwanz 20, of Gowrie, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana – 2nd Offense. An arrest warrant was also issued for Devin Nelson 19, of Fort Dodge, for Minor in Possession and Interference with Official Acts.

A deputy was dispatched for the report of a vehicle in the ditch on the Highway 144 diagonal north of Rippey. After an investigation, the deputy issued a citation to Cory Ray Seeman 27, of Rippey for Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance, accident related and possible Child Endangerment charges.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 300 block of 1st Street in Rippey regarding the return of her personal property.

A deputy was advised of a missing five month old Australian Blue Heeler with a Red Collar that was possibly taken from a parked vehicle in Paton.

A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer and Greene county EMS with a traffic accident in the 600 block of Madison Street in Jefferson.

A deputy was unable to locate a reported careless driver in the 1100 block of Eagle Street in Scranton.

A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of North 11th Street in Grand Junction to investigate the reported theft of personal property.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 1100 block of Livingston Street in Churdan about the illegal burning of obsolete household furniture.

Sunday, September 27th

A deputy assisted the Grand Junction Rescue with a medical call in the 1000 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched back to the 1000 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction for a reported fight in progress. After an investigation, the deputy arrested Andrew Steven Gathercoal 21, of Grand Junction, on two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of Sand Street in Churdan to help mediate a domestic civil issue.

A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of 11th Street South in Grand Junction to investigate the theft of a bicycle. The child’s bike was not located at that time.

A Greene County deputy and Boone County Deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of 337th Street to check the welfare of a distraught male subject. All units left the residence without incident.

A deputy was advised of criminal mischief to a tractor cab window in the 1000 block of 160th Street.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a juvenile female that was a passenger in a single vehicle accident earlier in the day. The grandmother and the mother of the child advised the deputy that they were going to transport the child to the emergency room for an evaluation.

A deputy and the Scranton Fire Department were dispatched to a silage chopper fire in the 1500 block of F Avenue. Damage to the self-propelled 2006 Clouse silage Chopper that was owned by Mike Minnehan of rural Churdan, was estimated to be $200,000.

A deputy was advised of a dog running at large in the 500 block of Hager Street East in Grand Junction. The deputy was unable to locate the described dog at the time of his arrival.

A deputy was dispatched for the report of a suspicious vehicle near the Lincoln Highway Park, east of Grand Junction.

A deputy was asked to check a window screen that had been removed from a basement window in the 1000 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction. The window was found to be secure.

In all case when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
