The coaches and players on the Greene County football team will be looking to end a three-game losing streak when they play on Oct. 2 in Humboldt in Class 3A District 2 action. The Rams started the season 2-0, then dropped a 35-28 decision in Algona, followed by a 36-32 loss in Creston, and last Friday in Jefferson the Rams came up two points short to undefeated and third ranked Webster City, 36-34, and are now 0-2 in the district and 2-3 overall.
The Rams will be facing a Humboldt team that lost last Friday in Algona to the Bulldogs by a 23-20 final. The Wildcats are 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the district with their only victory coming over a one-win Boone team. It will be Humboldt’s homecoming and the game can be heard on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
