It’s the time of year where many of us will begin to burn leaves and other debris in our yards.
Menlo Firefighter Kayla Gilman says it’s always a good idea to alert your local sheriff’s office before starting a burn. “Let them know that you’ll be doing a burn so people don’t get paged out thinking it’s a real fire, when you’re just doing a controlled burn.”
Gilman also reminds residents to never let a fire burn without adult supervision.
