Flu season is upon us and Greene County Public Health is holding several flu clinics at various locations in the county.
Staff will be at the Churdan Methodist Church this Friday from 10am to noon and at the Paton Library from 1:30 to 3:30pm. Other clinic locations and times are at the Greene County Medical Center on Thursday, October 22nd from 1 to 4pm; Scranton Methodist Church on Friday, October 23rd from 9 to 11am; St. Brigid’s Parish Center in Grand Junction on Friday, October 30th from 9am to noon and at the Rippey Library from 1:30 to 3:30pm.
Another convenient option is a new drive-thru service, where people can get their flu shots without leaving their vehicle. It will be offered at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds from 5 to 7pm on Monday, October 19th and at the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson from 9 to 11am on Saturday, October 24th.
Flu shots are recommended for anyone over six months old. They can be billed to Medicare, Medicaid and Title 19. The cost is $32 for the injection and $40 for the mist.
