Several tumbling classes will be offered starting later this week with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.
Director Vicky Lautner says participants in the Tumbling I class will learn the basic floor tumbling skills, increase flexibility and coordination. Recommended ages for the class are prekindergarten through six year-olds. Cost for the class is $25.
Tumbling II is for intermediate and advanced level tumblers. Participants will master the basic floor skills, along with increasing flexibility and strength. Skills taught in this class are beam, basic springboard and single bar. Cost for the classes are $35.
All classes will be on Saturdays from October 17th through November 7th. Tumbling I class will be from 10 to 10:35am, intermediate class is from 10:30 to 11:15am and the advanced class is scheduled for 11:15am to noon.
