Even though practice for the upcoming high school wrestling season has not begun, the Iowa High School Athletic Association has released Sectional and District assignments. Perry hosts a Class 2A Sectional tournament on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 and the Greene County Rams are among the teams in it. Gilbert, Kuemper Catholic (Carroll), Southeast Valley (Gowrie), and Woodward-Granger round out the six-team field.

The Perry Sectional and Garner Sectional will combine to make a District in Webster City on Saturday, Feb. 13. Teams at Garner include Algona, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, Forest City, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, Humboldt, and the host Lynx.

The top two individuals in each of the 14 weight classes advance from Sectional to District and the top two at each weight at the District move on to the State Tournament Feb. 18-20 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
