Auditions will be held later this month for the Community Players of Greene County’s production of “Annie.”

The stage musical adaptation won seven Tony Awards, including best musical and was based off the popular comic strip “Little Orphan Annie” by Harold Gray.  It’s the story of Annie who sets out to find her parents that left her at an orphanage, but instead finds a new family in New York.

Auditions for child roles will be on Sunday, November 15th at the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson.  The chorus auditions will be held on Monday, November 16th at Greene County High School.  The principal roles will be auditioned on Tuesday, November 17th also at the First Presbyterian Church.  Audition times are from 6 to 8pm each night.

New this year is an audition packet which includes selected dialogue as well as songs from the musical to be used in the auditions.  The packets are available at the Jefferson Public Library and the Greene County Chamber.
