Here’s a look at the unofficial results for the mayoral and city council seats in Greene County.
According to the Greene County Auditor’s office, incumbent Lisa Jaskey will serve a second term for District 2 seat on the Jefferson City Council. She won by a 15 vote margin against challenger Matt Wetrich with 271 votes to 256 votes respectively. As for the five candidate field for the at-large seat, David Sloan won with 269 votes. Brett Cranston received 148 votes, Lisa Turner had 73 votes, Brandon Gustoff received 34 votes and MeLinda Madison-Millard rounded out the candidates with 12 votes.
Incumbent Craig Berry ran unopposed for Mayor of Jefferson and was re-elected with 460 of the 483 votes cast. There was a 17.08 percent voter turnout.
The other two contested races were for Mayor of Grand Junction and Scranton. For Mayor of Grand Junction, challenger Dave Kersey defeated incumbent Gerald Herrick 105 votes to 87 respectively. As for Scranton, Randy Winkelman defeated Tina Walker 47 votes to eight respectively.
Paton voters decided by write-in who their next mayor would be and it is Steve Burrell with 10 of the 17 write-in votes. All other races were uncontested and all names on the ballot were voted to another term as either mayor of city council seats. All results are unofficial until the Greene County Board of Supervisors canvass the votes at their regular meeting on Monday at 9:45am.
