Guthrie Center cross country coach Colin Shawgo made his first trip to the state meet as a coach Saturday. He has been there before as an athlete while running at Nevada High School, but says one of the experiences is more intense than the other. “I can tell you that it’s a lot more nerve-wracking being a coach there for the first time, I think.”

Shawgo just finished his second season of coaching cross country. Additionally, he coaches boy’s track in the spring.
