A notice for Jefferson residents that next week is the final opportunity for the free yard waste pick up.

From Monday, November 16th through Thursday, November 19th, residents can place yard waste out with your regular garbage on your regular pickup day.  Yard waste includes grass, leaves, clippings and small twigs.  Items must be in biodegradable paper bags.  Yard waste that’s in plastic bags will not be picked up.  Stickers are not required.

The City will not provide chipping for the rest of the year, which means no tree trimmings, limbs or whole trees.

City staff reminds everyone to have their garbage and yard waste at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
