As we’ve reported, the caliber of artists that will be featured this weekend in Perry during Art on the Prairie is hard to match but not all of them are professionals.

The Perry Public Library will feature local students from the elementary, middle and high school.

Director Mary Murphy says the library is also the “go to” place for hands on art and interactive demonstrations.

“And this year we’re going to do something a little different, we’re going to have two material artists, a weaver and somebody who spins wool.  You can come and interact with them and they can tell you what they’re doing and how they do it.  It’s going to be going on all day, except for noon for Make Your Own Masterpiece.  So we’re really looking forward to it this year.”
Art on the Prairie takes place Saturday from 11am to 5pm and 11am until 4pm Sunday.
