Junior Hannah Promes is recovered from an ACL knee injury last December that required surgery and is looking forward to the basketball season for the Greene County Rams. Her recovery went well enough that she played about half the softball season, and was the volleyball setter for the Rams, earning honorable mention all-conference recognition in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. She’s also in other activities, and is a softball pitcher, which requires a certain amount of work in the off season. Hannah told Raccoon Valley Radio with finals for the trimester just ending, she’ll likely step up the softball pitching while playing basketball. She expects to play a variety of positions in hoops this season, and is one of six returning letter winners for new head coach Dean Lyons.
The Rams open the season in the middle school gym in Jefferson on Tuesday, Nov. 24 vs. PCM (Monroe) in a game that can be heard on KG98 and www.raccoonvalley radio.com.
