Anyone interested in 4-H is encouraged to attend a new member night tomorrow at the Greene County Iowa State University Extension office.
Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says the event begins at the Extension office where parents and potential new members are in separate rooms and they both learn about 4-H. She points out one area of concern for new families.
“Most of the questions I get right around this time of year, are related to 4-H online (profile). It’s a new database for a new family coming in. So this year we have added that to our agenda to go over that evening and just get them familiar with the database.”
The evening ends with a trip to Spare Time Lanes for free bowling and pizza.
New member night is at 6pm on Friday. Pre-registration is required by calling the Extension office in Jefferson at 386-2138.
