Greene County wrestling fans may want to mark their calendars for Jan. 14 and 19, 2016. Those are the only two dates the varsity wrestles at home this season. Coach Mark Sawhill’s team will host North Polk (Alleman) and Roland-Story (Story City) on Jan. 14, then entertain Guthrie Center and South Central Calhoun (Lake City) on Jan. 19. The other 13 regular season dates for the varsity are on the road.

The Rams are scheduled to host a JV tournament on Jan. 16, but they no longer host a varsity tournament. The season is scheduled to begin in Van Meter on Tuesday, Dec. 1 vs. the Ogden Bulldogs and the combined Van Meter/Earlham team.
