The Paton-Churdan High School boys’ basketball team aims for a third straight winning season under the direction of coach Chris Stimson. The Rockets will look to senior Noah Juergensen to lead the way. The returning Rolling Hills Activities Conference all-conference selection scored 18.6 points per game last season while making 61.1% of his field goal attempts, and hauling in more than 10 rebounds per game.

Sophomore guard Joe Towers is the other returning starter for the Rockets. He averaged 5.3 points a contest and he’ll be looked to for more scoring and ball handling duties after seniors Jake Carey and Colton Fitzpatrick graduated last Spring.

Rounding out the squad are seniors Joe Thede and Kourtlin Thacker, juniors Chase Juergensen and Trevor Bundt, sophomores Jake Berns, Charlie Minnehan, and Jacob Thompson, along with freshmen Clay Smith, Gage Behrens, Blake Delaney, and Eric Thompson.

The Rockets open the season on Tuesday, Dec, 1 in Churdan vs. Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton as the second half of a girl/boy doubleheader.
