The Guthrie Center boys basketball team begins their season Tuesday night.

First-year head coach Jake Mohling says he’s predicting his new team to ease into the season and not expecting any miracles right out of the gate. “Running our set plays will come in due time. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time on that in the first week. It was more of fundamentals and work ethic and kind of getting a flow to the season. It’s going to be a little ugly and rusty at times, but everybody understands that, it’s early.”

The Tigers tip off against Madrid inside of the Guthrie Center High School gymnasium at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
