A former Casey City Clerk has pled not guilty to federal charges. Dorothy Dillinger is accused of using city funds for personal use and burning down City Hall the night before a state audit was to take place in August 2014.
She appeared in federal court in Des Moines on Monday to make her plea. A judge has set a trial date for February 1st.
She admitted to authorities to misusing city funds and faces five counts of mail fraud and one count of malicious use of fire.
Dillinger is free on bond until her trial date.
