The ADM girls basketball team left last nights contest with Pella Christian a pretty happy squad as they handed the Eagles a 48-33 loss. It was an exciting game to watch especially as everyone in attendance witnessed how head coach Corey Schneider and the Lady Tigers executed their game plan to perfection. The ADM girls team played aggressive, fast, yet controlled both offensively and defensively as they controlled the scoreboard for the vast majority of the game. On the defensive side of the ball the Lady Tigers executed their game plan so well that coach Schneider was able to stay with the same defensive scheme throughout the entire game.
“At first we said we’d go man to man, pick them up full court, and then plan on getting into some zone press as the game went on but the man to man defense just seemed to work so well that we just stuck with it,” explained coach Schneider.
The high energy that the Tigers played with seemed to make last night’s game one of the more well rounded games played in quite some time. Coach Schneider really liked how the energy from the defense seemed to feed into the offense.
“The girls came out with a lot of energy and I think a lot of our defense led to our offense,” stated coach Schneider.
On the offensive side of the ball, Molly Jacobsen led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 13 points while Sydney Bertman finished second with 10 points followed by Sydney Canney and Brianna Mueller each with 7 points.
The Lady Tigers will take the court once again as they take on Winterset Friday night in their first conference match up of the season. Game tip off starts at 6:00 pm with pregame coverage tipping off at 5:30 pm on your home for ADM basketball, K107.9FM.
