The Guthrie Center wrestling team heads to their first meet of the season Thursday. Head coach Shawn Dannker says his squad and the other two teams West Central Valley and Nodaway Valley are all on about equal footing. “Both schools have a few good kids. We’re all in the same boat. All the duels, I think, will be pretty even.”

Wrestling starts at 6 p.m. Thursday at Nodaway Valley.
