The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Thursday.

They heard a tourism council report from Chair Kristine Jorgensen.

Jorgensen reports that they are working on a new website that she hopes to have up by the end of the year. Additionally, she says, the Council is planning their advertising strategy for next year. They will continue to print the annual tourism guide, plus put an ad in the Iowa Travel Guide. Also, Jorgensen says they are exploring the possibility of advertising in AAA Magazine and are researching how to get Guthrie County tourism literature displayed at welcome centers around the state.
