The Perry boys and girls basketball teams welcome Carlisle to the Perry High School Gym tonight for their home opener. Tonight also marks the beginning of conference play for both teams. The Perry boys are fresh off a 67-59 win over Greene County, while the Wildcats opened their season with an 84-63 loss at Pella. Perry’s leading scorer from last year, Shammond Ivory, is expected to make his season debut after sitting out Tuesday’s game with an illness. Ivory’s presence adds athleticism to a lineup that Head coach Ned Menke says, “Is even more athletic (than last year).”

The Jayettes (1-1) will tip off at 6:00 pm, with the Bluejays (1-0) starting at 7:30 pm. Pregame coverage will begin at 5:45 pm on 99.7 fm, 1310 am, and streaming live at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
