A reminder to West Central Cooperative and Farmers Cooperative Company members that ballots for a proposed merger must be submitted by no later than Friday, December 18th.

Members should have received ballots in the mail. Blue ballots are West Central and must be submitted to the auditors in the blue envelopes. Green ballots are Farmers Cooperative and must be submitted to the auditors in the green envelopes. Those who are members of both cooperatives can submit both ballots to their respective auditor locations.

Anyone who has misplaced their ballot, may get a new one by contacting their cooperative’s location immediately.

In order for the merger to pass, at least 50 percent of each cooperative membership must vote and of those votes, at least 60 percent must be a “Yes” vote.

A special meeting will be held on Friday, December 18th to tally the votes. Ballots must be received by noon on December 18th in the Auditor’s Des Moines office.
